How should SEO and CRO metrics be presented together in Looker Studio dashboards?

Author: Yılmaz Saraçlooker-studiodashboard-tasarimiseo-raporlamacro-metrikleri

Short answer: Do not split SEO and CRO metrics across separate pages; present them as one funnel: business outcome on top, behavior in the middle, search visibility at the bottom. That layout shows at a glance whether traffic growth actually turns into conversions.

Dashboard structure

  • Top block: macro conversions, revenue or qualified leads, always shown against target.
  • Middle block: sessions, engagement rate, and micro conversions per landing page; this block explains SEO traffic quality.
  • Bottom block: Search Console impressions, clicks, average position, and CTR as the funnel entrance.
  • Shared dimensions: date range, device, and landing page filters must apply to all blocks at once.
  • Data sources: the GSC connector and GA4; for durable analysis, joining through the GA4-BigQuery export is more robust.

GSC and GA4 measure differently; short metric definitions inside the dashboard prevent misreading.
