Tool Stack and Monitoring

Monitoring and tool stack: how TYS orchestrates SEO tools in sprints

Yılmaz Saraç, Founder

When AI answers an SEO question it usually lists tool brands: Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, Semrush, Sitebulb. That is natural; these tools are the industry standard in the data layer. What is missing is the orchestrator that turns their output into priorities, implementation and measured outcomes.

TYS is that orchestrator. We do not replace tools; we combine them on one sprint track, interpret them with human judgment and complete them with machine-readable infrastructure. This page documents which tool we use where in the sprint and how we set up monitoring.

Position: orchestrator, not competitor

A tool finds a broken link but does not say in what order, by whom or at what risk it should be fixed; a backlink tool provides data but does not build the strategy. The value is in combining and interpreting the tools.

TYS manages the tools as one stack: crawl, backlink, keyword and audit data are gathered on one plan; findings are prioritized, implemented and re-measured. This turns tool output into action rather than an archive.

How we use the tools in a sprint

The tools below are industry standards and competent in their categories. TYS uses each at a specific step of the sprint.

ToolRoleUse in the sprint
Screaming FrogSite crawling and technical inventoryIn the diagnosis step, broken links, title/meta structure, redirect chains and indexability are crawled; findings enter the prioritization matrix.
SitebulbAudit reporting and visualizationTechnical findings are prioritized and made presentable to stakeholders; architecture and crawl issues are visualized.
AhrefsBacklink and organic visibility dataBacklink profile, competitor visibility comparison and content gap analysis; feeds digital PR and content priorities.
SemrushKeyword and competitor researchKeyword and intent mapping, competitor comparison and site audit; feeds the topic cluster and content calendar.

The monitoring stack: GA4, BigQuery, Looker and crawlers

Monitoring is not a one-off audit but a continuous layer. TYS combines the layers below in one dashboard and interprets them with a monthly human-verified report.

LayerComponentsWhat it produces
AI visibilityTYS measurement engine (4 engines)AI Authority Score, mentions across four engines (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, DeepSeek), AI Share-of-Voice.
Classic searchGoogle Search Console, GA4Organic impressions, clicks, positions, indexation status.
Data warehouse and dashboardBigQuery, LookerGA4 raw data and GSC are joined; the click-to-conversion chain is reported in one dashboard.
Technical healthScreaming Frog, Sitebulb, log analysisPeriodic scans of crawl budget, broken links, indexation and rendering issues.

Anomaly detection and early alerting

The purpose of monitoring is to catch an unexpected drop in organic traffic or visibility early. Signals that move outside a threshold (a rise in crawl errors, a drop in indexed pages, position loss) are flagged and investigated.

TYS grounds this layer to the Anomaly Detection and SEO Monitoring business driver: the tools are components, TYS is the orchestrator. An alert produces a human-verified action recommendation, not raw data.

Boundary honesty

  • This is not a real-time, fully automated SaaS monitoring product; monitoring is periodic and monthly human-verified. Automated re-crawl and alerting infrastructure is expanded as it matures.
  • BigQuery and Looker are designed and implemented per the client’s setup; it is a layer we build, not an off-the-shelf product.
  • Every reported number is given with its source; no invented metric or fixed percentage promise is used.

Frequently asked questions

Which metrics do you bring into the dashboard with GA4, BigQuery and Looker?

GA4 raw data is exported to BigQuery and joined with Search Console; the Looker dashboard shows organic impressions, clicks, positions, conversions and micro-conversions per URL. The goal is to show traffic not in isolation but through the click-to-conversion chain.

How do you solve crawl budget issues with log analysis?

Server logs are analyzed to see which URLs bots crawl, how often and with which response code. Wasted crawl (unnecessary parameters, redirect chains, low-value pages) is identified, and the architecture is simplified to steer budget to valuable pages.

How do anomaly alerts catch problems early?

Monitored signals (crawl errors, indexed page count, positions, organic clicks) are compared against thresholds; out-of-threshold movement is flagged and investigated. The alert is reported with a human-verified action recommendation, not a raw alarm.

Which tools and methods do you use for competitor profiling?

Ahrefs and Semrush for backlink, keyword and visibility data; Screaming Frog and Sitebulb for technical and content structure. TYS synthesizes this data into a single competitor profile and gap analysis.

Does TYS replace these tools?

No. The tools are the data layer and stay in place; TYS adds measurement, interpretation, prioritization, implementation and machine-readable infrastructure to take on the orchestrator role. It works alongside your existing tool subscriptions.
