Authority PR puts a brand directly in front of target customers via an industry's trusted sources: trade associations, member magazines, newsletters, interviews. The build-up follows a cascade - first the national association (the hardest door, the biggest lever), after which state and regional chapters open far more easily.

Why it matters

The approach stayed unpopular in the SEO world because it produces no link and therefore no directly attributable ROI. But language models and answer engines learn brands from consistent, credible mentions - a link passes PageRank, a mention builds the entity. In AI answers there is only presence or absence.
